We have more than 25 years' experience in the evaluation of vibration from industry, construction and transport working for the public and private sector. Vibration monitoring may be required where there is a source of significant vibration in built up areas.
The occupants of nearby buildings will react to vibration and complaints need to be carefully handled. Enforcement action can, however, usually be avoided by an agreed programme of monitoring and mitigation.
Improvements in the building design for new builds and mitigation measures for existing buildings can then be recommended to avoid structural damage and further complaints.
